When migrating to Yari Flow, customers may be able to purchase subscriptions through the Shop app before your store is ready to launch.

This happens because the Shop app automatically displays active Shopify Selling Plans. As soon as Yari Flow creates Selling Plans during setup, those subscription options may become visible and available for purchase in the Shop app, even if:

· Your Yari Flow integration is still being prepared

· Your existing subscriptions have not yet been migrated

· Your team has not officially launched with Yari Flow

How to prevent early subscription orders during migration

Option 1: Disable subscriptions in Shop Pay

This is the recommended option when your store does not rely heavily on subscription purchases through the Shop app during the migration period.

To temporarily disable subscriptions:

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.

2. Click Manage beside Shop Pay.

3. Under Accelerated checkouts, deselect Subscriptions.

4. Click Save.

This prevents subscription options from appearing in the Shop app until your store is ready to launch.

Note Only the merchant can update Shop Pay settings. The Yari Flow team does not have access to make this change on your behalf.

Remember to enable the subscription setting again when your Yari Flow setup is ready to go live.

Option 2: Minimise the migration window

If disabling subscriptions in Shop Pay is not suitable, such as when your store actively sells through the Shop app, the best approach is to complete the Yari Flow setup and migration as quickly as possible.

Reducing the time between creating Yari Flow Selling Plans and officially launching lowers the risk of customers purchasing subscriptions before the transition is complete.

For self-service installations, coordinate your setup, testing, and launch closely so that the Selling Plans are active for the shortest possible period before launch.
