Migrations guide
Welcome to the Yari Flow family
We’re excited to help make selling and managing subscriptions easier for your team and your customers.
If your store is already live with Yari Flow, you have completed the Yari Flow Migrations process.
For questions not covered in this guide, contact the Yari Flow Support team at help@yariflow.com.
Before beginning your integration, review the list of potential use cases that should be shared with your Yari Flow Sales representative or Migrations Engineer. Providing this information early helps the team prepare the right setup for your store.
Migration process overview
This guide explains how to set up Yari Flow on your Shopify store.
Step 1: Yari Flow theme integration
After you install the Yari Flow app, complete the required onboarding forms, and provide the Yari Flow team with collaborator access to your Shopify store, the theme integration process can begin.
Merchant integration requests are managed through a queue. Your store enters this queue after all migration prerequisites have been completed.
You should expect to hear from the Migrations team within 3 to 5 business days, although the team may contact you sooner.
The complete integration and migration process usually takes 4 to 5 weeks. This timeline includes time for your team to:
· Review and test frontend updates
· Test the Yari Flow Plan Picker and related Yari Flow pages
· Review subscription migration previews
· Ask questions before the final migration
Responding promptly to messages from the Migrations team can help keep the process moving efficiently.
The theme integration stage includes:
· Configuring subscription products in Yari Flow
· Setting up relevant Automations
· Configuring subscription settings
· Adding the Yari Flow Plan Picker to your product pages
· Confirming that one-time and subscription purchase options are correctly added to the cart
Step 2: Going live with Yari Flow
Once your products are configured and your team has reviewed and approved the Yari Flow experience on your product pages, your store is ready to begin selling subscriptions through Yari Flow.
Before publishing the changes, confirm that:
· Customer notifications are configured (if required)
· Subscription shipping rules are set up correctly
· Customers can access the Yari Flow login page and My Account
· One-time & subscription purchase options work as expected
· Your team has completed frontend testing
These checks help ensure that customers can purchase and manage subscriptions without unnecessary friction.
In most cases, you can go live by publishing the preview theme prepared by the Migrations team during the integration stage.
Your Migrations Engineer will provide specific guidance based on your store’s theme, codebase, and publishing process.
Step 3: Subscription data migration
This step only applies if your store used another subscription platform before moving to Yari Flow.
The Yari Flow Migrations team will transfer your existing subscription data into Yari Flow so that current subscribers can:
· Continue to be billed without interruption
· Access and manage their subscriptions in the Yari Flow My Account
· Retain their existing subscription products, schedules, and account details
After your store has been live with Yari Flow for approximately 24 to 36 hours, the Yari Flow team will confirm that all new subscriptions are being created in Yari Flow rather than in your previous subscription platform.
Once this is confirmed, the Migrations team will prepare a migration preview for your team to review.
The preview outlines the subscriptions that will be transferred from your previous platform into Yari Flow.
Your team should:
1. Review the migration preview.
2. Confirm that the subscription data is accurate.
3. Raise any questions or concerns.
4. Approve the migration.
After approval, the Yari Flow team will complete the final migration and move the subscriptions into Yari Flow.
This stage usually takes 2 to 3 days. The timeline includes time for your team to review the preview data and ask any final questions before the migration is completed.
Migrations process complete
After all three stages are complete, your store is officially live with Yari Flow and the Migrations process is finished.
