Migration Process: Important Use-Cases to Notify Us About
Some subscription configurations require additional review before they can be migrated into Yari Flow.
Notify your Yari Flow Sales representative or Migrations Engineer as early as possible if any of the following scenarios apply to your store. This gives the team enough time to review your existing setup, request the necessary access, and identify any additional migration requirements.
Migrating from a platform outside Shopify
If your subscriptions are currently managed on a non-Shopify ecommerce platform, such as WooCommerce or Magento, notify both your Yari Flow Sales representative and Migrations Engineer.
The Yari Flow team will need access to your existing store and subscription data so that they can review its structure and determine how it should be migrated into Shopify and Yari Flow.
Migrating from a custom subscription solution
Notify the Yari Flow team if you currently manage subscriptions or recurring payments through a custom-built solution, such as:
- Stripe’s Subscriptions API
- A custom subscription platform
- An internally developed billing system
The team will need to review how your subscription, customer, product, billing, and payment data is stored before planning the migration.
Migrating from Smartrr
Let your Yari Flow Sales representative and Migrations Engineer know if you are migrating from Smartrr.
The team will review your existing Smartrr subscription configuration and confirm whether any additional data, access, or preparation is required before the migration.
Migrating prepaid OR gift subscriptions
Notify the Yari Flow team early if your store offers prepaid plans or gift plans.
Migrating bundles or boxes
Subscription platforms may structure bundle and box data in different ways.
Let the Yari Flow team know if your store offers subscription bundles, or curated boxes. The Migrations team will review the existing configuration and determine how the products, quantities, pricing, and box structure should be represented in Yari Flow.
Additional information or product mapping may be required depending on how the previous platform stores the bundle data.
