Customer Timeline

Customer Timeline

What is a customer timeline?

It's a customer audit log in YariFlow, located under the Timeline section on a customer's profile, is a detailed, chronological record of customer-level activity and administrative actions associated with an account.

It tracks key events, including:

· Admin activity: Actions performed by store staff (e.g. Logged As User impersonations).

· System updates: Automated background updates (e.g. currency changes like GBP -> EUR or automatic address syncs).

· Authentication activity: login as customer.

· Account & payment updates: Address edits, payment method changes, and self-serve portal actions.

Why use the customer timeline?

The Timeline helps store managers:

· Verify admin & system actions: See exact timestamps for when an admin logged in as a customer or when system processes executed.

· Inspect raw event metadata: Expand individual events to verify full address details, customer IDs, and region codes.

· Troubleshoot login & account issues: Track when account changes occurred leading up to a support request.

· Monitor account security: Audit access patterns and identify unauthorized or unexpected changes.

What information does the Timeline display?

Each entry in the Timeline card provides:

· Date Header: Events are grouped chronologically by date (most recent dates at the top).

· Actor Badge: Indicates who initiated the action—such as Admin or System.

· Event Action: Short description of the event (e.g. Logged As User, GBP $\rightarrow$ EUR, address sync).

· Timestamp: Exact time ( HH:MM:SS) when the activity took place.

· Expandable Payload Details: Clicking the dropdown chevron (v) next to an entry expands a detailed data payload box containing address lines, IDs, region codes, and system parameters.
